Moonday Spiraling

My the news has been strange and fascinating of late. First off, an Australian study of mental patients confirmed that the Full Moon brings out the inner werewolf. Researchers saw an increase in biting, scratching and spitting as the Moon reached its peak. In myths of yore, herbal tinctures with belladonna and nightshade were said to evoke the change. Nowadays it’s spirits of alcohol, which does relax our auric guard, making us vulnerable to all manner of entities loose upon the land. As the veils thin, keep that in mind!

There’s also a mind-expanding (Sagittarius) discussion going on about the spiral in Norway, with researchers like David Wilcock and William Henry weighing in. The Sun is in Sagittarius, an ideal time to compare notes on an event that’s been described as everything from a failed rocket launch, a stargate, a warning using advanced weapons, and a prelude to Project Bluebeam (a hoax to scare us into rallying against the aliens). The Sun is square to Uranus today, with more shocks to what we think we know.

The Sun-Uranus square wakes us up to a broader, more expansive picture. Uranus brings revelations, and here, calls for mental flexibility to adjust to knew information. A great example of this is Climategate. Do we shut our minds to the implications of what’s been revealed? Or do we try to grasp the fullest picture possible, before making up our minds? This is a year of disclosure with secrets being revealed. It challenges how tight we hold onto our world-view, even when it’s been shown to be an illusion. Uranus breaks us free of limiting frames, as part of an awakening process. In this case, it’s merely asking us to question everything.

My astrologer friend Robert Phoenix calls Uranus in Pisces a statically charged monsoon. And Uranus is in a provoking tension to the Sun-Moon-Venus as we head toward the New Moon in Sagittarius (on the 16th). We may soon see just how emotionally charged our beliefs are, especially as they fall around us like broken glass. The New Moon, though, is a chance to re-adjust ourselves around a vision that’s expansive enough for the times we’re living in. Sagittarius is future-dreaming, and in its casting ahead, it sets the leading edge. With the initiatory surges forecasted in 2010, those visions will be about sovereignty of mind, body and spirit, radical truth telling and divine inspiration.
